This Google funded program is being jointly developed by George Mason University School Law, the National Security Institute and the Howard University School of Business. It will provide hands-on real-world experience in cybersecurity concepts, tools and more.

Application FAQ

What is the Boeing Academy ? The HU Boeing Academy is an extracurricular interdisciplinary technical learning program that will prepare selected students for successful careers in technology and aerospace industries.

Who will be coordinating the program ? The HU Cybersecurity Analytic Center (CAC) team in the Howard School of Business will host the program. Contact cerc@howard.edu with questions.

What will the program provide ? Enrolled students will receive scholarships, coaching, accelerated skill training , free resources and real-world project experience.

What are the eligibility requirements ? HU undergraduate student (rising Sophmores and Juniors). Interest in Technology and/or Aerospace. Preference will be given to students planning to complete a STEM related major, minor or concentration (e.g., engineering, comp sci, info systems, etc.). A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.

What are the participation requirements ? Activities will be scheduled approximately 2x per month (during the school) year plus a summer immersion project assignment (about 8-10hrs/mo). Students must participate in 75% of activities and complete an assigned project each year to stay enrolled.

How much are the scholarships? Up to $5000 / year

When program begin ? Enrollment and initial onboarding (Spring 2025). Programs will begin in Fall 2025

When are applications due ? Sophomore applications due March 15th ; Freshman applications due April 8th.

National Cyber League (NCL)

Join the National Cyber League competitions to build resume worthy cyber skills in the areas of Scanning, Log Analysis, Web Exploitation, Networks, Cryptography, Forensics, and more.. These are challenging and fun semi-annual competitions.
