Consistent with President Obama’s initiative to create several million new jobs as outlined in his National Export Initiative and Howard University’s (HU) mission and strategic priorities, the goals of the Global Business Center (GBC) in the Howard University School of Business (HUSB) are to (1) increase the global perspective of students by immersion in international cultures and global business concepts and issues in several courses; (2) increase study abroad opportunities for business students; (3) build alliances with overseas institutions to increase opportunities for faculty for teaching/team-teaching at universities overseas and provide opportunities for our students; (4) promote and increase research opportunities for faculty and students; (5) develop an executive program in international business; (6) develop training programs for small businesses in the community, and (7) explore grant opportunities and funding opportunities to support the activities of the Center.
