This summer I will be Interning at: EY
This summer, I will be joining EY as an Assurance Audit Intern. This will be my second year interning with the company in their New York office. I chose this internship because I wanted to further strengthen my analytical skills and build interpersonal relationships with colleagues and clients. After completing my degree, I plan to go into forensic accounting which I believe this internship puts me on the right path by providing me with the necessary skills and experience to perform well in the field.
Who am I?
My name is Kayla Smith, and I am a Junior Accounting Major with a Minor in Criminology from Yankers, NY.
Why I chose Accounting?
I chose accounting because of how logical the practice is. I liked that I felt rewarded when I did find the solution after tedious questions/problems.
Short-term Goals:
- Join more organizations and be more involved on campus
- Declare a Criminology minor
- Finish the semester and junior year strong
Long-term Goals:
- Keep-in-contact with my advisors and professors
- Graduate from Howard University MBA Program
- Work full-time with the FBI as a Forensic Accountant
