Global Trilateral MBA Certificate Program
SOLVING BUSINESS CHALLENGES WITH A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE:
The Global Trilateral MBA (GTMBA) Certificate Program provides students with international consulting experiences in the United States, Africa, and China.
Through a trilateral partnership with The University of the Witwatersrand/Wits Business School, Johannesburg, South Africa, The Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing, China, and the Howard University School of Business, Washington, D.C. students can earn a Global MBA Certificate in conjunction with their MBA degree.
PROGRAM COMPONENTS
Classroom Learning
The classroom program teaches student business strategy skills and acquaints them with management consulting practices in global markets. Students learn critical factors and issues relating to conducting business in an ever-shifting economic, political, social, and technological world. The program gives students insights to navigate global business protocols, international market challenges, and cultural diversity. Students learn to conduct essential market research and analysis to build visionary and conceptual strategic plans for enterprises in Africa, China, and the United States.
Consulting Projects
Using the management consulting, cross-cultural communications, and international business lessons from the classroom experience, students engage in real-life consulting projects alongside their peers from each of the partner schools. In small, culturally diverse teams, students provide consulting services to clients including not-for-profits, Fortune 500 companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and government agencies worldwide.
International Conferences and Study Tours
Each university partner hosts a three-day business conference at their home institution. The meeting brings together GTMBA participants to share in business briefings and cultural activities. On the final conference day, students present research findings and recommendations to the company clients. The consulting engagements give students first-hand experiences in how to shape business strategies while developing valuable global perspectives.
